Agustin Sica Herrera, 39 of Rome, was arrested this week arrest after reports said he beat a 39 year-old woman in the face in front of their two young children.
Reports added that the victim suffered swelling and bruising to her face.
The incident occurred at their home on Marshall Lane.
Herrera is charged with battery and third degree cruelty to children.
