One of Floyd County’s “Most Wanted” , Dorian Dontae Johnson, 32 of Rome, has been captured after a chase this week on Wood Creek Way.

Reports said that on April 24, 2024, Johnson is accused of kidnapping a woman at the Ashwood Inn and holding her against her will.  He is also accused of taking her cellphone.  Additionally, the victim told police that Johnson told her that the only way she was going to leave is if she went to the bank and get him some money.   Once at the bank, the victim went inside the bathroom and locked the door.  Johnson is accused of trying to get in but an employee walked over and questioned him.  He then fled the scene in the victim’s car.

While being searched, he was found with cocaine and ecstasy.

Warrants for Johnson from 2023 were also active for drug distribution and stalking a woman.  On September 30, 2023 he was found in possession of marijuana that he was attempting to distribute.  Then on October 23, 2023, he violated a court order to stay away from a woman when he went to her home on Shade Tree Lane and attacked her.

Johnson is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, criminal trespass, battery, aggravated stalking kidnapping, possession of drug related objects, possession of marijuana, operation of a vehicle on approach of an emergency vehicle, operation of an unregistered vehicle, two counts obstruction, and three counts probation violation’
