An inmate at the Floyd County Prison, Rodriguez Domontez Knight, 37 of Decatur, has been booked into the Floyd County Jail this week after reports said he conspired to smuggle drugs into the facility.
Reports said that last September Knight arranged to have drugs and phones smuggled into the prison. A contraband drop was recovered at a detail location that included 83.83 grams of meth, 165.34 grams of marijuana, 182 suspected MDMA tablets, 173.33 grams of tobacco, rechargeable batteries, charger and two Nokia Tracphones.
Authorities stated that a phone call with Knight and a female was recorded giving directions on how and where to drop the contraband.
Knight is charged with items prohibited by an inmate, possession of marijuana, criminal solicitation, conspiracy to commit a felony, use of a communication facility in commission of a felony involving a controlled substance, drug trafficking and selling/possession/distribution of ecstasy.
