Rodney Shane McClarty, 42 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he burglarized a business on Shorter Industrial Blvd.
Police said that McClarty stole a snap-on scanner, Botch, OTC scanner, welder, Dell laptop and numerous small items valued at $8,500 from 15 Shorter Industrial Blvd.
Reports added that the thefts occurred between March 19th and 21st of this year.
McClarty is charged with second degree burglary, theft by deception and probation violation.
