David Eugene Fain, 58 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found with an assortment of drugs during a traffic stop near the intersection of Turner McCall Blvd and West 1st Street.

Reports said that officers stopped Fain for driving with a busted brake light when they discovered that he was driving on a suspended license and intoxicated.

A search of his vehicle then resulted in officers finding multiple baggies of methamphetamine, marijuana, and cocaine under the driver’s seat.

Officers added that while taking Fain into custody he tensed his body and refused to get into the patrol car.

Fain is charged with possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, operating an unsafe vehicle, DUI, driving on a suspended license and three counts obstruction.
