Michael Shane Chastain, 50 of Rome, was arrested for drug trafficking after officers said they found him in possession of over 11 pounds of marijuana during a search of a home on Atkins Drive.
Police also allegedly found numerous firearms, steroids and a digital scale.
He is also accused of conspiring with Amy Bishop (see story below) to distribute illegal narcotics.
Chastain is charged with possession of a schedule III controlled substance, two counts possession/distribution of marijuana, conspiracy to violate Georgia controlled substance act, drug trafficking, possession of drug related objects and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
