Charles Anthony West, 63 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found in possession of methamphetamine after stealing a utility trailer.
Reports said that after taking possession of the 6×12 trailer he hid it behind his daughter’s Boyd Road home. However, authorities were able to locate the trailer by using a hidden GPS locator.
The value of the trailer was listed at $2,500.
During his arrest, police added that he was in possession of methamphetamine.
West is charged with theft by receiving stolen property, possession of meth and probation violation.
