The Floyd County Schools JV and middle school math teams competed at the Georgia Council of Teachers of Mathematics state tournament over the weekend in Macon, Georgia where they had great success. 

Ninth and tenth-grade students were eligible to attend the Junior Varsity division, while students in grades 6-8  were eligible to attend the middle school division. Students competed in teams of four. 

“This is an incredible accomplishment and we are beyond proud of these students and coaches,” said FCS Superintendent Dr. Glenn White. “We are thrilled to congratulate these students who have worked extremely hard together to improve their skills and accomplish team and individual goals. Thank you to the teachers, coaches, and parents for the time you have invested in these students.”
