In observance of Child Abuse Prevention Month this April, the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Floyd County Police Department, Rome Police Department, Rome Floyd Fire Department, and the Exchange Clubs Family Resource Center have collaborated on a video initiative aimed at promoting healthy family relationships and safeguarding children within our community.
We are releasing this video on April 3, 2024—recognized as Child Help National Day of Hope—the video seeks to raise awareness about the prevalence of child abuse in the United States, where unfortunately, 600,000 children fall victim each year (according to the National Children’s Alliance).
The Family Resource Center is dedicated to serving families with children aged 12 or younger, as well as expectant parents. Through our comprehensive programs, we offer free weekly in-home parent education and life skills training for up to one year. Our services cater to a diverse range of family dynamics, from new parents seeking guidance on child development to grandparents caring for their grandchildren, and parents seeking to strengthen their familial bonds.
