A toddler injured in a dirt bike accident on Marsh Avenue in Trion continues to recover at a Chattanooga hospital.

The two-year-old child was the passenger on a dirt bike being driven by a twelve-year-old and fell from the bike, sustaining serious injuries.

The child was transported from the Chattooga County Emergency Room by LifeForce on Monday evening.  Trion Police Chief David Gilleland told WZQZ News on Thursday evening that he spoke with the child’s mother, and the child’s condition is improving and is expected to be released from the hospital some time next week.

Chief Gilleland added that the Trion Police Department is continuing their investigation into the accident.
