Alijah DeSean Thompson, 20 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he imprisoned a 19 year-old woman inside a location on North Broad Street.
Police added that Thompson proceeded to use his hands to place around the victim’s throat and choked her to the point she could not longer breath.
Thompson is charged with aggravated assault and false imprisonment.
