Two Calhoun men, Jonathan Riffle and Arthur Riffle, were arrested this week at a Gordon County hospital after a violent outburst.
Officers said that when they arrived on scene a nurse told them that a patient was complaining of chest pains when her son, Jonathan Riffle, 29,. got her in face and said, “motherfu**** she can’t be still”. The nurse then told Rifle that he cannot speak to her that way. It was at that time he “got into her face” while cursing at her. The nurse then told police that she felt as if she was going to be hit.
When the nurse attempted to leave the room, Riffle told her that he was going to find her in the parking lot and hurt her. After telling Riffle not to threaten her, he told her that “it’s not a threat it’s a promise. I’ not scared of the fu**** police.”
Riffle was then escorted out of the hospital.
When the nurse reentered the room to treat the patient, Riffle’s father, Arthur Riffle, 71, told her, “you’re worried about my son but you don’t know what I’m capable of.” Security was then called to the older Riffle to be removed. While being escorted out, Riffle balled his fist while screaming and cursing. Security reportedly had to grab Rifle in an effort to prevent him from hitting the female nurse.
Both Riffle’s are charged with disorderly conduct, felony terroristic threats and acts, simple assault, and felony obstructing or hindering emergency professionals.
