Melissa Yvlonda Michelle Bonds, 50, and Denise Ann Morgan, both of Rome, were arrested this week after lying to police about shoplifting from Walmart.
Reports said that Morgan allegedly stole items from the store before using Bond’s car to flee the scene.
When police went to speak with Bonds about knowing Morgan she denied recognizing her. However, a photo of the two women entering the store together three days prior was recovered from the store’s loss prevention department.
It was also discovered that the two women are related.
Bonds is charged with obstruction.
Morgan is charged with theft by shoplifting.
