Jeffrey Thomas Bagley, 44 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he lied to police during their investigation.
Police said that Bagley gave them the name of Richard Bagley as his own. He allegedly later admitted his true identity.
Bagley is charged with giving false information to police.
