Jesmon Jermaine Antown Smith, 33 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attempted to sell drugs to an undercover police officer.
Reports said that Smith used a cell phone to facilitate the drug deal before being taken into custody at a meeting spot on South Broad Street.
Smith is charged with conspiracy to violate the Georgia Controlled Substance Act, use of a communication facility in the commission of a crime and probation violation.
