Cave Spring has been named as one of 11 communities to receive funding by the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority board of directors for water, wastewater, sewer, solid waste and stormwater projects.
The $12,000,000 loan will be used to finance water improvements to the water distribution system and replace the water main.
Reports said that the replacement will allow for increased water pressure, and reduced water loss as well as improve reliability.
Cave Spring will be eligible for up to $5,500,00 of the loan. The rest will be paid back over 30 years at a rate of 1.57%.
