According to Polk County Coroner Norman Smith, a male was killed was skydiving in Cedartown on Thursday afternoon.
Smith said that the accident occurred off Mullen Road just before 3pm.
The FAA is still investigating the cause of death.
The fatality has been confirmed to be Nicolay Grushin, 47 years old of Bonney Lake, Washington.
