Demarius Tyrese Hodges, 20 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he removed his court-mandated ankle monitoring device.
Police said that Hodges was required to keep the device charged at all times, however, he let it die on September 16th and has not been charged since.
Authorities added that they finally located Hodges this week on East Main Street. When they attempted to speak with him, Hodges fled the scene on foot. He was captured after a short chase.
Hodges is charged with removing an electronic monitoring device, probation violation and obstruction.
