Francisco Miguel Pablo, 33 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he hit his wife in the face and destroyed property around the home during an altercation at their East Drive home.
Police said that Pablo struck the victim on the face resulting in visible injuries.
He then then accused of damaging a wall and a mirror inside the home.
The incident occurred in front of a 5 and 6 year-old child.
Pablo is charged with simple battery, two counts cruelty to children, and criminal trespass.
