Derricus Ashone Haselrig, 46 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said officers found multiple baggies of cocaine, marijuana, a handgun, as well as packaging materials at a home on Wadsworth Road.
Over three pounds of marijuana was found with the riffle and two pistols.
A dog was also found at the home in a deathly condition. Police said that the animal was found with an embedded collar that resulted in bleeding and bruising to its neck.
Haselrig is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, distribution of marijuana, possession of drug related objects, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and aggravated cruelty to animals.
