Shameka Monique Ware, 31 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she caused a wreck while driving drunk and then fled the scene of the accident.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Ga 20 and South Avery Roads.

Ware is charged with DUI and hit and run.
