Jamarcus Omarion Jaquez Lackey, 18, Dwight DeVaughn Chambers, 48, Derricus Ramon Whatley, 20, Kenyda Deshaun Sullivan, 22, and Micah De’Morrious Johnson, 21, all of Rome, were arrested at or near 504 East 19t Street this week following the reporting of a shooting.
Officers working at the scene collected evidence and Rome CID followed up and conducted interviews and collected additional evidence. This developed into enough probable cause for a search warrant for the residence of 504 East 19 th Street.
The search warrant was executed on November 9, 2023, at 1:00pm with the assistance of Rome/Floyd SWAT, Floyd County Police, and Floyd County Sheriff’s Department. In the execution of the search warrant, the five subjects were detained and transported to the Floyd County Jail and charged with various charges.
The searches led police to find marijuana and cocaine.
After arriving at the jail Johnson was found with additional drugs.
All five are charged with possession of marijuana.
Lackey is also charged with possession of cocaine.
Johnson is additionally charged with possession of a schedule I controlled substance and crossing the guard line with drugs.
