Taimar Alexander Ritchey, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he pointed a gun at a woman on Hardy Avenue.
Officers said that when they attempted to speak with Ritchey he ignored commands to stop and proceeded to run away.
Ritchey is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, attempting to elude police and obstruction.
