Former Rockmart police officer, Ronald Williams, 39, of Rockmart, was arrested this week following an investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
The investigation was launched after a request from the Rockmart Police Department.
Williams is charged with felony violation of oath by a public officer and misdemeanor tampering with evidence.
Williams was terminated prior to his arrest.
