Joseph Leonard Maddoxx 59 of Rockmart, was arrested in Rome after reports said he lied to officers during a traffic stop near the intersection of GA 156 and Old Dalton Road.
Police said that during the stop Maddox gave officers a fake name and date of birth. Officers then discovered his true identity and that he had been driving on a suspended license.
Maddox is charged with giving false information to police and driving on a suspended license.
