Tanner Joe Wasson, 34 of Kingston, was arrested this week after reports said he grabbed a woman by the neck and then tossed her down on a couch.
The victim suffered a swollen upper lip from the altercation.
The incident occurred at a home on East Hermitage Road.
Wasson is charged with battery.
