Joshua Jodell Leach, 56 of Armuchee, and Freda Jean Turner, 43 of Bremen, were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Charles Street at Nixon Avenue.
Police said that they observed an open alcoholic beverage inside the car after pulling them over for a license plate violation.
A search then led officers to find crack cocaine in the front center console of the car.
Turner is charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, open container and probation violation.
Leach is charged with possession of schedule II controlled substance, open container and failure to display his license plate.
