Michael Wayne Messer Jr, 43 of Rome, was arrested at the Exxon convenience store on Cedartown Highway after he was found in a drunken state while acting disorderly.
Reports said that Messer acted in an unbecoming manner by using vulgar and profane language towards another customer at the store. Police added that Messer attempted to fight the victim during the altercation.
Messer is charged with public drunk and disorderly conduct.
