John Joseph Lambert, 29 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found in possession of a stolen car with a stolen license plate on it.
Authorities added that after arriving at the jail it was discovered that Lambert lied to police about his identity due to him driving on a suspended license.
Lambert is charged with two counts theft by receiving stolen property, giving false information to police and driving on a suspended license.
