Christopher Garland Barnett, 58 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he kidnapped and beat a 55 year-old woman.
Reports said that Barnett pulled the victim into his home on Elliott Drive where he used a closed fist to beat her in the face.
Barnett is charged with kidnapping and battery.
