Heaven Lee Dawn Hood, 25 of Rome, and Matthew James Johnson, 40 of Rome, were arrested for trafficking drugs following a traffic stop near the intersection of Redmond Circle and Redmond Road.
Police said that Johnson was stopped after they saw him driving without working taillights.
A search of the car then resulted in officers finding a large amount of methamphetamine (over 28 grams), digital scales, packaging materials, over 4 grams of heroin, marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms, Klonepin, and two hands guns,
Both are charged with two counts of drug trafficking possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, , possession of a controlled 1 substance with intent to distribute, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug related objects.
Hood is also charged with possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, and distribution of marijuana, as well as probation violation.
Johnson is also charged with a headlight violation.
