Cody Shon Reeves, 28 of Ball Ground, was jailed in Rome after being taken into custody at Northside Hospital in Atlanta on dozens of felony car break-ins and theft charges that stem from 2020 to 2021.
In December 2020, Reeves is accused of breaking into a car on Ward Mountain Road and stealing a laptop, bookbag and school supplies that were valued at $620.
In January 2021, Reeves then broke into numerous cars around Floyd County and stole items such as a bank card and multiple firearms. He then proceeded to use the victim’s bank card to purchase around the area.
In February 2021, he was allegedly found with a large amount of methamphetamine, packaging materials, syringes, and a digital scale at a location on Ward Mountain Road after breaking into a Dodge Charger and attempting to steal it.
Later that month, Reeves broke into multiple vehicles on Covered Springs Road and stole bank cards before using those in nearby Alabama. Reeves is charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle, eight counts entering an automobile with the intent to commit a theft, financial transaction card fraud, identity fraud, two counts financial transaction card fraud, possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, criminal trespass, possession of drug related objects and probation violation.
