A 35 year-old homeless Rome man, Jaren Whitley Barrett, was arrested this week after reports said he attacked a 15 year-old child at a home on Mahogany Street in the Celanese Community.
Police said that the victim was left with visible injuries to their face and hands from the attack.
Barrett is charged with 1st degree cruelty to children.
