A 49 year-old Rome man, Bradley Marc Sharpe, was killed on Thursday when he was struck by a truck while riding his motorcycle on Highway 53 in Shannon.
Reports said that the crash occurred at the intersection of Shannon Road.
This marks the second motorcycle fatality in the exact same spot in the last week.
A 26 year-old Rome man, Jonathan Dunn, has died after being killed in a motorcycle accident on Highway 53 near Shannon Road Friday.
Reports said that Dunn was northbound when it struck a pickup truck being driven by an elderly man just before 8pm.
Authorities said that initial reports indicate that the truck pulled out in front of the motorcycle.
Medical personnel stated that they worked on Dunn for nearly an hour before he was pronounced dead.
The body of Dunn has been sent to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy.
Charges are pending against the driver of the pickup truck.
