The Rome Alcohol Control Commission recommended that Peaches on Broad Street have its liquor pouring license reinstated with a slight adjustment.
Rome City Commissioner Craig McDaniel that the ACC take into account ticket sales for its food-to-drink ratio going forward.
The license had been suspended in May after Peaches owner Stephanie Shaw was unable to show evidence that her establishment met the proper ratio. The ratio does not apply to beer and wine.
Shaw is quoted to say that since the loss of her liquor license she has seen a decrease of 75 percent in her business.
Since her suspension Peaches has partnered with Tiger and Bea’s BBQ to sell food at her establishment.
