Raymond Lee Downs, 50 of Dallas, was arrested at a home on Old River Road in Rome after police said they found him in possession of drugs and numerous firearms.
Reports said that while deputies were taking Downs into custody for an outstanding warrant they found him in possession of two guns and marijuana.
One of the firearms was locked in his pocket while the other was on a table.
Marijuana was also found in a bag that belonged to the suspect.
Downs is charged with two counts possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and probation violation.
