Scotty Michael Craig, 31 of Lindale, was arrested this week after reports said he was found with drugs during high speed motorcycle chase around Floyd County.
Police said that they clocked Craig for driving 75 mph in a 55 zone and then sped up to 86 mph in an attempt to avoid arrest.
During the chase Craig is accused of tossing a bag of marijuana in a parking lot.
After finally being captured near the intersection of Walking Mountain and GA 1, Craig was found to have been driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana.
Craig is charged with reckless driving, license violation, operation of a vehicle on approach by an emergency vehicle, DUI, attempting to elude police, obstruction, possession of marijuana and probation violation.
