Christopher Avery Jones, 29 of Armuchee, was arrested this week after a report said he grabbed a woman’s hand and then yanked her rings off.
Reports added that the victim suffered bruising from the attack.
Jones is then accused of throwing the victim’s cellphone causing it to shatter.
A second phone belonging to the victim was also broken in the attack.
The incident occurred on Teat Street.
Jones is charged with battery and criminal trespass.
