Brayden Jace Redden, 19 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he caused a wreck while driving drunk and then proceeded to attack officers.
Police said that Redden ran the redlight at GA 140 and Hwy 53 and crashed into another vehicle. Redden proceeded to attempt to flee the scene on foot but was stopped by an off-duty police officer.
Redden proceeded to strike the officer in the face. When other officers arrived on the scene Redden continued the attack on three other police.
After being placed in a patrol car, Redden is accused of kicking out the car’s window and breaking an officer’s body camera.
Redden is charged with four counts felony obstruction of police, two counts interference with government property, intoxication of a minor to the point of causing danger to themselves, hit and run, DUI, too fast for conditions, and failure to obey traffic lights.
