Christopher Michael Carson, 46 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he spat on a 38 year-old woman.
Police said that Carson then proceeded to attempt to grab the victim while she was sitting in a car.
The incident occurred near Spring Creek and East 14th Street.
Carson is charged with simple assault.
