Rome Police have arrested 26 year-old Clayton Dakota Hartley, of Rome, for the death of a motorcyclist on Shorter Avenue.
William Robertson, 63, succumbed last week to his injuries after being involved in a motorcycle crash back on July 4th.
Reports said that a Chevrolet Camaro was driving on Tamassee Lane and then attempting to turn left onto Shorter Avenue. The driver later told police that he did not see Robertson’s motorcycle, which was making a right hand turn, before he pulled out and struck it.
The driver of the Camaro, Clayton Hartley, was issued a citation for failure to yield.
Hartley is now charged with 2nd degree vehicular homicide and running a stop sign.
