Citizens of Floyd County will have a final say, but a final list of SPLOT projects has been released.

An advisory committee looked at several recommendations from community members to get the finalized list.

Money for the projects are raised by a 1-cent tax on purchased items. Local officials rave about the SPLOST because the money collected not only comes from citizens of Floyd County but also from people from all over the world who purchase items here in Rome and Floyd County.

Collections for the projects run between 5 and 6 years.  The total budget for the 1-cent sales tax, based on expected revenue, is approximately $110 million.
