Reginald Clay Barnett Sr, 57 of Cedartown, was arrested this week after reports said he stole a license plate off a vehicle and then placed it on his.
Police said that they spotted Barnett driving on the stolen plate and pulled him over near the intersection of SR 1 and Old Cedartown Road. During the stop, officers added that they found Barnett in possession of marijuana.
Barnett is charged with theft by taking, possession of marijuana, driving without insurance, driving without license and concealing the identity of a vehicle.
