Ronald Jeffery Johnson, 48 of Cartersville, was arrested this week after reports said he threatened to beat another person with a boat paddle at Cedar Creek Park in Cave Spring.
Police added that the threats were made in front of the victim’s 8 year-old child.
Johnson is charged with terroristic threats or acts and cruelty to children in the third degree.
