Bartow County Police arrested 22 year-old Jaquavious Jaquail Carter, of Cartersville, this week for a shooting that occurred Friday at Sandra D. Hudson Villas in Rome.
Police said that no one was injured in the shooting.
According to authorities, the arrest came from a combined effort with the Rome Floyd Metro Task Force and the Rome Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit.
RPD Maj. Rodney Bailey said that various drugs and two guns were confiscated.
Carter is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and discharging a firearm near a public highway. Additional charges are pending.
This was not the first time Carter found himself in trouble with the law.
In June of 2020, Jaquavious Jaquail Carter, 19 of Cartersville, was jailed in Rome after he allegedly point a gun at a victim and demanded their cellphone and cash while at an apartment on Dodd Blvd.
He is also accused of pulling a firearm on another person back in August of 2019. Reports said that Carter pulled and fired his weapon around numerous individuals. That incident occurred on East 13th and Crane Streets.
Carter is charged with armed robbery, two counts possession of a firearm by convicted felon, reckless conduct and failure to appear.
