Constance Elinor Grissett, 41 of Armuchee, was arrested this week after reports said she allowed her dogs to live in deplorable conditions.
Police added that they found her home on Floyd Springs Road covered in urine, feces and trash.
Reports went on to say that officers found a deceased dog on Grissett’s bed.
Grissett told police that she watched the dog suffer a seizure while profusely bleeding from his anus until he died. She also told police that she did not get her dog help during the medical emergency.
Grissett is charged with five counts cruelty to animals and aggravated cruelty to animals.
