Rome Police identified a bicyclist struck on Sunday in front of Sams Club as a 48 year-old homeless man, Scotty D. Phillips.
Reports said that Phillips was crossing where there was no crosswalk when he was struck by a 2001Ford Explorer.
Phillips was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
No citations have been issued at this time.
