Brenda Ann Hornbuckle, 61 of Adairsville, was arrested this week after reports she said imprisoned and beat a 40 year-old man in the head at a home on East 2nd Avenue in Rome.
Police said that Hornbuckle detained the main in his apartment and refused to allow him to leave. She is also accused of slamming the man’s head into a door frame. The victim suffered a cut to his head during the incident.
Reports went on to say that when the victim attempted to call 911 for help Hornbuckle initiated another altercation to prevent him from doing such.
Hornbuckle is charged with false imprisonment, battery and obstruction of a 911 call.
