Justin Keith Jones, 31 of Adairsville, was arrested this week after reports said he kicked in a door to a home on Wilkerson Road and beat a 54 year-old woman in the face.
The victim, who suffered visible injuries, had previously taken a no contact order out against Jones.
Jones is charged with battery, criminal trespass and aggravated stalking.
