Jacqueline Leanna Brackett, 23 of Rome, is facing numerous felony charges after reports said she bit one deputy and scratched another.
Police said that the incident occurred at the jail after being arrested on seven failure-to-appear warrants.
Brackett is charged with two counts of felony obstruction of police, two counts of battery, unlawful acts in a penal institution, probation violation, and seven counts of failure to appear.
